Is it possible to install a stretch ceiling through which vertical pipes pass?
Yes it is possible! Several options for the implementation of the task. Depending on the specific situation, on the location of the pipes, depending on their number and design of the room, the contractor can offer the customer the following options:
- it is possible to bypass the pipe or pipes by cutting the canvas and subsequently install a decorative plastic overlay on the pipe, or several overlays, depending on the number of pipes. The ceiling cloth is seasoned in a baguette and only after that, the specialist cuts out the hole for the pipe, an incision is made at the place where the cloth fits to the pipe, and the cloth should not wrinkle. An incision is made using a paint knife, scissors can be used. The cut must be performed from the side of the wall, in the place where the pipe is closest (from the side of the wall). An incision is made of such a size that the free edges of the panel without obstacles, but also with sufficient tension converge behind the pipe. Then they hide the surplus canvas behind stretch ceiling, fill the free parts of the canvas in a baguette towards the pipe and put a decorative plastic overlay on the pipe;
- before mounting the ceiling, a cut is made, a special polymer glue is applied to it, with its help a tread plate of the desired shape and size is glued. When installing the ceiling, the pipe falls into this section, the glued plate is stretched and tightly covers the pipe. The same option is excellent for mounting a ceiling panel if a cornice is located on the same wall. Thus, you can bypass the pipe and install a hidden cornice.
