This installation method involves cutting the fabric in place and not at the factory and this significantly reduces the time of the order. The installation of such ceilings, due to their resistance to heating, removes restrictions on the power of lamps in recessed luminaires.
Unlike PVC, polyester fabric is not only absolutely waterproof, but also has some vapor permeability, which allows installing such ceilings in pools, garages, and unheated balconies.

The thickness of the PVC film with the surface tension of the ceiling is only 0.15-0.35 mm., And the mass is 180-320 grams per square meter. Installation methods for PVC ceilings
Any installation of a stretch ceiling made of PVC begins with fastening along the perimeter of the room at the required level, a fastening and decorative profile made of PVC or aluminum baguette. To ensure good ventilation when removing moisture that condenses in the inter-ceiling space, the baguette should be equipped with a pressure compensation system.
Further, the canvas of the stretch ceiling is attached to a baguette. During installation, two main methods of fastening are used: harpoon and wedge.
With the harpoon method, high accuracy of room measurements is necessary due to the fact that the fabric is being cut at the factory and a strip of thicker PVC harpoon is welded to the edge of the fabric.
During installation, a heat gun is used, it heats the air in the room to 40-60 degrees Celsius, after which the harpoon, with the help of a spatula, is loaded into a baguette.
With the wedge method, high measurement accuracy is not required. During installation, the canvas is heated and clamped in a baguette using a spacer profile, excess cloth is cut off. This method is more time-consuming, but allows you to complete the order faster.
Installation of fixtures
Since the vinyl film does not tolerate a hot neighborhood, the canvas must be protected from thermal deformations. This requires the installation of special lighting fixtures in the tension systems. Initially, special racks are attached to the base surface, an electric wire is laid to the installation point of the lamp.
After tensioning the ceiling, power rings made of heat-resistant plastic are glued to the film, in places of future fixtures, after which holes are cut inside, into which the fixtures are installed.
To illuminate stretch ceilings, they usually use low-voltage halogen lamps, they are connected to a 220-volt network through compact electronic transformers.
Chandeliers are mounted according to the instructions attached to them, after having glued the power rings. Lighting devices with upward-directed lamps may only be installed if there is sufficient distance between the ceiling and the light source. Incandescent lamps can be installed with a capacity of not more than 60 watts, and halogen not more than 35 watts.
