In this article, we will calculate the cost of building a greenhouse with a gable roof made of various materials.

During the construction of the frame, such a greenhouse, smooth, without bending, parts are used - this is the simplest design that is easy to assemble with your own hands.

We are building a greenhouse with dimensions: width 3.0 meters; length is 6 meters; side wall height 1.6 meters; height on the ridge (excluding the height of the beam of the base of the greenhouse) 2.45 meters.

When building a greenhouse, you can use a frame made of various materials: wood, steel, aluminum, plastic pipes.

Of course, the final price of building a greenhouse in different regions will be different, it all depends on the price of building materials.

Wooden greenhouse frame

When working with any wooden products, of course, and when installing a wooden greenhouse frame, it is necessary to pre-treat all wooden parts with antiseptics before mounting the structure.

Since the beam of the base of the greenhouse has direct contact with earthen soil (it can be completely or half buried), it must be treated with bitumen - this will increase the service life of the entire structure.

The greenhouse frame consists of two sides (each side consists of six sections), the end blind wall consists of four sections, plus the same wall equipped with an entrance door, the gable roof consists of 24 sections with four windows (to enhance the strength of the roof, due to the heavy load in winter with snow, the number of sections of the roof of the greenhouse is doubled in relation to the side sections).

All fastening is done with the help of corners and screws.

Wooden structures have their pros and cons.

Convenience of installation, low thermal conductivity and the ability to use any coating, of course, is a plus.

Durability is the disadvantage of such frameworks.

Steel greenhouse frame

When calculating the frame of the greenhouse made of steel, the same dimensions were used as the dimensions of the frame of the wooden greenhouse.

The advantage of a steel frame is that this design is cheaper and more durable than wood.

The disadvantages of this frame are the difficulty of self-assembly and high thermal conductivity.

The steel structure involves fastening by welding, this implies the presence of a welding machine, the skills to work with it, or the services of a welder (its work will cost from 5 to 7 thousand rubles for the above frame sizes) or using fasteners for a metal profile.

When using welding, the estimated price of the frame of the greenhouse will decrease by the value of the fasteners (2,000 rubles) and increase by the cost of welding (say 5,000 rubles) and will be 9020 rubles, taking into account the work of the welder.

To fix the cover of the greenhouse, you must independently drill holes in the corner or in the pipes. The carcass coating may be polycarbonate, film or glass.

Cost of glass coated greenhouses

Glass-coated greenhouse is a traditional option for a summer residence.

Buying a finished glass greenhouse along with the installation will cost at least 43,000 rubles.

Self-installation is more profitable, and if the greenhouse is made of old window frames, then the greenhouse becomes almost free.

Installation of a glass-coated greenhouse must be carried out on a foundation (strip or column), the cost can be calculated independently.

Polycarbonate Greenhouse Cost

At present, a new material for coating greenhouses has appeared - polycarbonate, which is not inferior in environmental terms to such a material as glass, and even exceeds its strength.

To cover greenhouses, cellular polycarbonate is used.

It is desirable to install steel greenhouses on a prepared foundation.

Reinforced Film Coating Greenhouse Cost

Reinforced film has a number of advantages over film coating, it is more durable, characterized by high strength, easy to repair.

The service life of the reinforced film is about 5 years.
