Reasons for the popularity of leather products
Throughout the history of mankind, skin has been rated highly enough:
- it provided reliable protection from the wind, did not get wet from the rain, i.e. allowed a person dressed in leather clothes and shoes to feel comfortable in any weather,
- it holds heat well
- has an attractive appearance,
- its surface is soft and pleasant to the touch,
- it is distinguished by both strength and elasticity,
- has a long period of operation,
- it does not require special care.
Thanks to these qualities, the skin, for more than one millennium, is considered to be a noble material.
In the modern world, an increasing number of people strive to use the most safe products in everyday life, the manufacturing technology of which does not harm the environment and does not cause allergies in people who touch them. For example, no matter how highly practical and durable floors from artificial materials are, the properties of natural materials will always be much more appreciated. Based on this, flooring companies have created a completely new natural product - leather flooring.
Leather floors and their features
This innovative product consists of a shockproof and highly durable MDF board, with a top-operated layer made from genuine pressed leather. It follows that the leather flooring combines both reliability and harmlessness, as well as a convenient, cozy top layer.
The leather floor does not deform under heavy loads and is guaranteed to serve a long service, delighting the appearance of its owners. The top layer is made only of genuine leather without impurities and additives, by the method of strong compression. This process is carried out using special, modern, advanced equipment. Such processing of an initially soft and pliable material provides a high density at which it is practically impossible to inflict mechanical damage. Also, over time, the leather floor will not wipe.
Lovers of walking around the apartment barefoot will receive great satisfaction: after all, the leather layer is very soft, pleasant to the touch and warm. For people suffering from various types of allergic reactions and problems associated with the respiratory system, one cannot imagine a better flooring option than a leather floor.
Along with all these pluses, it is worth noting the fact that the surface of such a floor is absolutely non-slip, and therefore stable and non-hazardous. Mounting a leather floor does not take much time and effort. The material is produced in the form of fixed-size boards equipped with a UNICLICK system that does not require gluing or other fixing. Each of the boards has a cork substrate that provides noise absorption and is a heat-saving element. Caring for such a floor will not cause much trouble and will not require the purchase of additional care products.
Leather in the interior - a variety of textures and shades
Leather fragments of a newfangled design or solid leather designs can differ in both color and texture. Modern technologists can produce leather whose texture resembles, for example, snake or crocodile skin. Such innovations were designed to translate into reality not ordinary, exclusive ideas.
Also in the development there are materials of a calmer look: an almost smooth material, on which single, measured lines of prints from folds are noticeable. There are coatings of leather with a very light, touching texture with a coarse micro-embossed surface.
Manufacturers try to produce every kind of texture in several color variations. Basically, the palette used is reduced to natural calm colors: ivory, black, brown.
Leather floors in the interior
As already mentioned: the leather floor is soft and warm to the touch. The decision to decorate the floor with leather will give owners a lot of pleasant physical and aesthetic moments. This decoration option is considered to be ideal for living space.
Reliability and durability of the material are not in doubt, because the production takes place according to the latest technologies. The material undergoes special processing in accordance with international standards. All this is done in order to maximize the ease of cleaning and maintenance indoors.
All actions during cleaning come down to collecting garbage with a vacuum cleaner and washing with a slightly damp cloth. Any substances containing chemically active elements are not used when cleaning the leather floor. Cleaning a leather floor can be compared to cleaning an ordinary wooden floor.
Experts insist on familiarization and implementation of the following important tips related to the proper operation of the leather floor:
- without fail, all furniture (cabinets, chairs, armchairs, tables, sofas, beds, etc.) located in the interior must have glued felt pads on the legs
- if there is furniture to the legs of which the wheels are attached, you should purchase rugs on which it will move
- in relation to the leather material, you cannot use any grinding materials
- the entrance to the apartment or house is better equipped with a special rug that will trap street dust and debris
- when rearranging furniture indoors, it is mandatory not to drag it from place to place, but to transfer it, if necessary, you can use the help of physically prepared persons.
Leather floor - price worthy of quality
It is immediately worth noting that the cost of this product cannot be classified as low. Leather coating belongs to the elite class. A square meter of leather flooring can be purchased at a price of 2500 rubles. It all depends on what (more or less democratic) policy is conducted by a specialized store selling goods of this type. In principle, such a price can be called more or less acceptable. After all, having bought such a newfangled cover, the whole family will enjoy and enjoy it throughout the entire period of operation.
Western manufacturing companies produce the most unique types of leather coatings related to the premium class. The upper leather layer is 2.5 mm. In addition, it is coated with several layers of specially designed waterborne varnish. The middle layer is 6 mm. For its manufacture, a high-quality HDF plate is used. The bottom layer (substrate) consists of 2 mm cork. In addition to everything, a set with such a floor is provided with skirting boards of the corresponding color and size.
