Materials for frame construction
Today's building materials market allows the developer to choose between materials that have a modern design, such as siding, board or tile, or imitating a traditionally used round log block house. Layout Features
When designing a bathhouse, it should be remembered that the minimum dimensions of the steam room that allow its comfortable use are at least 6.25 sq.m. Its smaller sizes will create a lot of inconvenience. Typically, the design of the bath provides for the presence of not only a steam room, but also a relaxation room, a washing room with a shower, a vestibule.
Foundation laying
The frame design of the bath allows foundation construction according to the simplest scheme: for its light walls, a columnar foundation constructed of asbestos-cement pipes filled with concrete will be enough. For the construction of the foundation, asbestos-cement pipes with a diameter of 0.1 m, a length of 4 m are purchased, they will need to be cut in half. Using a gas drill, holes are prepared with a diameter of 0.2 m and a depth of 1.5 m. Pipe sections are inserted into the wells, covered with sand and well tamped.
To fill the pipes using a solution prepared from:
- 4 buckets of clean sand,
- buckets of cement M200,
- 7 buckets of gravel gravel.
The components are mixed well and water is added until a solution of the desired consistency is obtained. This solution is poured into all installed pipes.
Making the bottom harness
To perform the lower strapping of the frame, you will need a trim board with a cross section of 0.15x0.05 m. To get the desired length of the board, you will have to fasten it with each other. A layer of roofing material or other waterproofing material must be laid under the strapping. After installation of the harness, logs for the floor are attached to it. For their manufacture, you can use the same boards. Under the logs should also be placed waterproofing material.
To give the structure additional rigidity, metal plates are pre-walled in the pipes, then they are rigidly connected to the strapping boards and lags. To prevent the occurrence of putrefactive processes and to prevent damage to wood by insects, all structural elements are treated with special solutions.
The next stage of frame construction - the construction of walls
The material from which the walls will be erected should be purchased in advance, allowed to dry well and lie down. In accordance with the frame construction project, frame racks and parts for the construction of the roof truss system are made from boards. After marking the location of the racks, you can begin to assemble the frame of the walls.
The installation procedure is as follows. First of all, you will need to install corner racks and several intermediate ones near one of the corners. Starting from this angle, sheets of oriented particle boards are mounted on the frame; screws are used as fixing material. Next, the frame racks are added alternately and sheathed with plates. The process continues until the structure is completely lined with OSB boards.
When performing work, do not forget about the need to leave openings for windows and doors in accordance with the project.
We build a roof
Experts recommend that during the construction of frame baths, to assemble the rafter structure on the ground, using a single template. They are lifted to the roof in turn and installed over the frame racks. In accordance with the shape of the farms, OSB sheets are marked out - these fragments will then be installed as pediments. To ensure convenience and to secure the installation of the rafter system on the beams, a temporary overlap of the boards should be laid.
The roof is usually made ventilated, for this, a layer of a special film is laid between the counter beam and the rafters, the crate is stuffed onto the beam. Ondulin is considered the best of roofing materials by experts today.
After closing the pediments, window and door blocks are installed with pre-marked and cut fragments of the OSB.
The procedure for finishing work
OSB boards are also used to make the draft ceiling. As a heater of the ceiling and walls of the bath, we use the selected heat-insulating material, and we lay it in several layers, usually three is enough. On the sections of the walls that will protect the pair of insulation should be covered with a layer of foil, the walls of other rooms can be closed with a glassine.
Boards that were used for the construction of temporary ceilings can be laid on logs and nailed to them.
A special place in the steam room is occupied by a stove-heater, from the side of the dressing room, a heating boiler is installed on it. We should not forget about compliance with fire safety rules - it is recommended to build a wall that will be between the rest room and the steam room from brick.
Finishing work, indoor and outdoor, can be done in parallel. After installing the frameworks of the partitions, they can be sheathed with a blockhouse in the lounge and clapboard made of wood in other rooms. To exit to the roof of the bath, a hatch in the ceiling is arranged and a staircase is built.
The ceilings in the steam room do not have to be high - a height of 2.1 m will suffice. After installing an additional layer of thermal insulation, it can be sheathed with linden wood or linden board.
Construction of frame baths is not a long process, two people with experience in installation work will be able to cope with the task in 10-12 working days.
