What is the mechanism of sliding interior doors
It should be clarified that there are two options for systems of sliding interior doors, they differ in the way the web moves and the principle of the guides: along the wall or inside the wall niche.
In the first case, the movement of the door leaf occurs along the upper guide fixed along the wall, while the door turns out to be suspended.
For greater reliability, a second rail is mounted on the floor.
The simplest option is the installation of just such a mechanism.
Sliding interior doors are also customary to subdivide according to the schemes of their opening:
- both flaps move into the wall niche,
- the flaps move to the wall niches in different directions from the opening,
- two wings move in opposite directions along the wall,
- two wings move in the same direction along the wall.
The effectiveness of a particular option should be considered in each individual case.
The installation method assumes that the door leaf will be hidden in a wall niche looks more aesthetically and neatly. Turning it into reality is somewhat more difficult.
The first option involves the dismantling of part of the wall and the construction in its place of a niche made of drywall.
The second is the construction of a dry niche from drywall, along the existing wall.
Inside the niches, the door will move along the guides. The service life of the door leaf in this case will significantly increase - the design will reliably protect it from damage.
If there is experience in the installation of drywall, then you can perform all stages of the work yourself.

Procedure for the installation of sliding interior doors
We select door panels and decorative panels that are suitable in terms of quality, size and design and purchase a kit for their installation.

When installing sliding interior doors, it should be remembered that a well-made installation will ensure trouble-free long-term operation, their soft and smooth progress.

In this case, the main condition is installation strictly according to the level of the lower profile guide and the upper one, without distortions horizontally or diagonally.
Before starting installation work, the doorway should be completely decorated, make sure that the upper and lower parts, sides are strictly parallel relative to each other.
Permissible error - up to 5 mm! The wall along which the door leaves will move should also be as aligned as possible.
After checking the parallelism of the surfaces, you can proceed to fasten the lower guide.
Its length should be two lengths of the opening.
Then we attach the rollers to the lower part of the canvas, install it on the lower guide and mark the place where the upper one will be attached.
We do the markup carefully, we use the level.
Using dowels and screws, for marking, fix the guide at the top.
After that, we attach two limiters on it, which will determine the depth of the rollback of the web.
Now the upper guide can be hidden behind the installed decorative panel.
It should be fixed using self-tapping screws, which can then be closed with decorative caps.
Next, we install the door leaf.
We place the upper part in the position from ourselves under the finishing panel, installing the upper rollers in the guide, slightly raise the door and install the lower rollers in the corresponding guide.
We perform similar operations when installing the second canvas.
You can make sure that the work is done qualitatively several times by moving the door leafs back and forth. Their course should be smooth, soft and silent, while the rollers should be strictly in their guides.
