How to make yourself a parquet.
Over the years, parquet has been the most common and favorite flooring. Now in the market of building materials a wide range of this flooring is presented. But it is worth remembering that parquet is also an expensive coating, as it consists exclusively of natural and natural materials. Therefore, the owners of the floor are doing everything possible to extend the good look and gloss of this flooring.
With long-term use of parquet, with mechanical damage and exposure to the sun, the flooring dims, cracks and cracks appear on it. Therefore, for prophylaxis, it is recommended that the parquet be scraped. The cycle is the process of removing an obsolete layer of varnish from the floor, its restoration and coating with a new layer. This procedure is very laborious and expensive. The parquet is looped for the first time when laying it, subsequent times if necessary.

Scraping old parquet
Old parquet periodically requires scraping to improve its condition. This process is very laborious and dirty, requires a serious approach. To start the process, all outdoor furniture should be taken out of the room, and the skirting boards should be removed. The parquet hitching procedure can logically be divided into three stages.
First stage:polishing parquet (removal of an obsolete layer of varnish).
This process can be carried out manually or using a special machine. Grinding is the dirtiest scraping process. Also, at this stage, you should check the parquet strips and, if necessary, repair or replace them completely.
Second phase: hard putty of a parquet.
Since cracks and crevices occur when using the flooring, the parquet should be repaired. For this, putty mixed with shavings and sawdust left after grinding is used. This is necessary to compare the color of the parquet. After puttying, it is necessary to polish the parquet again in order to rid it of irregularities.
The third stage:parquet coating with a new coat of varnish.
It is necessary to protect the flooring from mechanical damage and moisture. Parquet must be covered in 6-8 layers of varnish.
Looping tool
When carrying out hauling, a wide variety of hauling tools are used. Their appearance depends on the state of your flooring, skill, patience and, of course, financial situation. The most essential tools are a large grinder and a fine grinder. They are necessary for polishing parquet as a whole, as well as for cleaning the edges of the room. Hand cycle, nails, sandpaper, hammer, planer, chisel, glue are also necessary for parquet hinging.
But you can save on looping tools. For example, when removing an obsolete layer of varnish, use a steel plate or sharpened glass. And instead of a parquet corner machine, an ordinary grinder. Just keep in mind that the result may not satisfy you.
Looping machine
During the restoration of parquet, three types of looping machines are used. All of them have their own functions, properties and purposes.
In the first stage of parquet scraping, a drum type machine is used. It is necessary to remove an obsolete layer of varnish and a thin layer of wood. This is necessary in order to get rid of bumps and bumps that occurred during the operation of the floor covering. Mostly in everyday life they use machines with a drum width of 20 centimeters. Depending on the type of wood, grinding is done several times and in various modes.
Next, you need to align the parquet on the invoice and grind after scraping. To do this, use a surface grinder. It is also needed in intermediate interlayer grinding when varnishing parquet. This is necessary for better bonding varnish.
In hard-to-reach places where a conventional drum machine will not pass, use a parquet angle machine. It is great for removing varnish in places such as a place under the battery.
Parquet varnish
The last stage of parquet hitching is a very important and crucial moment. When varnishing parquet, especially carefully consider the choice of varnish for parquet.
When choosing a varnish, you need to start from such criteria: environmental friendliness, moisture resistance, abrasion resistance, elasticity, gloss of the coating, the ability of the varnish to maintain the natural color of the parquet. The selected varnish should optimally correspond to all these parameters. But water-based varnishes are especially popular, as they dry in just 2-3 hours. This helps speed up the looping process.
Also, when varnishing parquet, the process itself is very important. First you need to have a smooth surface. This will greatly accelerate the drying process of the varnish. Before applying varnish, the floor surface must be cleaned of dust and dirt. Parquet must be dry. It is best to apply the varnish with a roller in several layers, as well as do inter-layer grinding for the best result and fastening the varnish.
You can walk on the restored coating in just a few days, and bring furniture and interior details only after a few weeks.
