Winter snow slide, do-it-yourself snow slide for children, how to fill a snow slide with your own hands
Children's games in the fresh air in winter should be active, and in order to diversify them, adults will have to work hard and build a skating rink or a snow slide. Moreover, children can be involved in the construction work, instructing them to perform accessible and simplest work areas. Joint work in the fresh air will bring the guys no less pleasure than the games themselves.

How to make a snow slide for children
The construction of a snow slide - the work is quite simple, but at the same time requires some special knowledge or experience. The simplicity of work is that for its implementation it will require quite affordable tools and materials: snow, shovel, water, used pieces plywood, the difficulty is to use simple devices correctly and quickly build an entertaining winter attraction with your own hands.
You should also study the recommended technical characteristics of the facility under construction. The height of the slide should not be more than one and a half - the spirit of meters, but this is if adolescents and adults will come down from it, if only kids will ride, then a height of 1 m will be quite sufficient. Exceeding these parameters is impractical - the task of constructing an object is significantly complicated, and the pleasure derived from riding will be the same. The descent length should be planned about 5 m.
The descent angle should be 40 degrees. A significant increase in it will lead to an increase in the risk of injury, and the descent itself will become very fast, the skater will not have time to enjoy the process. At the same time, at the end of the descent, the skater will receive a tangible blow. If you make the descent angle too small, the descent speed will decrease and it will not be interesting to ride.
For safety reasons, it is necessary to build on the descent of the sides of the snow, and the steps flooded with water should be well covered with sand - having frozen, they will cease to be slippery.
Children's snow slide, the benefits of a snow slide
The snow slide on the countryside has the following advantages:
- you can do work together with children of different ages
- special costs for materials and tools are not required,
- the opportunity to experiment and change the design at your discretion,
- perfect it by adding arches, turns, etc. to the design
The only drawback of the snow slide is the seasonal operation period - next winter it will have to be re-built. But such works allow you to fully show your creativity and imagination, and they are no longer similar to work, but to entertainment.
DIY snow slide - choose a place and set the frame
Of particular importance for the safe entertainment of adults and children is the choice of the location of the slide. It is advisable that it be away from the road on which cars can pass. It is equally important that in the dark the hill of snow was sufficiently lit from all sides. On the extension of the descent line there should be no trees, bushes or bushes, sewer manholes, in general, nothing that could be dangerous for skiers.
For the construction of the slide, it is best to choose a relatively warm day when the snow will be sticky and several balls of different diameters will simply be rolled from it. They can be set in the form of a slide, trample the space between them with snow. Then you can proceed to the formation of steps and descent. When the air temperature drops, it will be possible to fill the constructed hill with water and wait until it is covered with a solid ice crust.
If construction is carried out at a time when frost has already set, then you can resort to another method. To collect as much of the main building material as possible with a snow shovel, tamp it as much as possible. Further from any improvised means: wooden boards, sheets of plywood or chipboard, etc. need to assemble the formwork. If there are snowdrifts in the yard where the snow is well compressed, then you can cut brick bricks from them to build a slide.
If there is dumb snow, then the frame can be built from any volumetric hollow objects that are at hand, it can be car tires, boxes of plywood or wood. If the slide is low, up to 1 m, then small cardboard boxes can be used as the frame. To give strength to the structure, they can be poured with water. Lay boxes and drawers upside down. After assembling the frame, you can proceed to the design of steps and descent. Do not forget to equip the sides - they will make the descent from the hill safer. The surface of the descent cktletn is covered with snow, and the steps are formed so that the height of each is convenient for climbing.
The area at the top of the slide should be covered with pieces of plywood or trims - standing on such a platform will be much safer.
When choosing the shape of a slide, you can show your imagination, of course, it will be fun to ride on a slide of the most ordinary shape, but you can create a descent surface that resembles a bobsleigh track - with turns in different directions, you can design a slide with an arch or equip it in the form of a silhouette of a fairy-tale character.
How to fill a slide from snow with water
The most crucial moment is filling the constructed frame with water. If you can use the winter water supply - very good. If the amount of water is limited, only the descent and steps can be filled. Do not forget to sprinkle the steps with sand - they will cease to be slippery. If there is suitable material, it is advisable to equip the steps with handrails.
To get the first layer, it is best to spray the snow surface from the spray gun. After a couple of hours, you can begin to fill the slide. Water should be poured from a watering can and very carefully, otherwise it can erode the snowy part of the structure. Water should be slightly warm, but not hot. When using warm water, you can immediately get a fairly smooth surface of the ice. If pits or voids have formed on the surface of the descent as a result of water exposure, they should be repaired with snow gruel and evened out with a wet rag. The ramp in front of the slide also needs to be tamped and filled with water.
Next, let the hill freeze well until the next morning. Even in a thaw at night, the temperature drops so low that the slide should be well held together by frost. In order to finally level the surface of the descent and give it perfect smoothness, pour a bucket of water on it. After 2-3 hours, you can begin to test.
