A double-circuit wall-mounted gas boiler, unlike a single-circuit one, is additionally equipped with a flowing water heater to provide not only heating, but also domestic hot water, a house or an apartment. The mode of heating and heating of hot water is carried out by different contours of the boiler and not simultaneously, but in turn, with priority of heating hot water. This means that if you open a faucet with hot water, and thereby start its flow through the boiler, it will disconnect from the heating for a while and switch to the mode of heating water for domestic hot water and will temporarily work as a flowing water heater (gas column). As soon as the hot water tap closes, the gas boiler switches back to home heating mode. This does not affect the temperature regime of the room, because such a short-term shutdown is insignificant and the water in the heating system simply does not have time to cool down during this period of time.

Double-circuit wall-mounted boilers can have a capacity of 12 to 35 kW. Thus, they can be installed in rooms with different sizes, from 50 to 350 m2. The advantage of wall mounted gas boilers, in comparison with their floor counterparts, is the price. Wall mounted boilers are approximately half the price of floor standing boilers. Also their important advantage is a fairly simple installation. Wall-mounted boilers are also distinguished by their compactness and the ability to place them practically anywhere in the house or apartment without any significant difficulties.

Double-circuit floor gas boiler

Double-circuit gas floor boilers are equipped with a powerful cast-iron or steel heat exchanger. They are divided by type of gas burner. There are supercharged (fan or mounted) and atmospheric gas burners. Supercharged burners are notable for a considerable price, but, due to higher efficiency, this is justified. Also a positive point in their use is that pressurized burners can be replaced, while atmospheric ones are already built into the gas boiler circuit and cannot be replaced. Boilers with pressurized burners work much quieter than with atmospheric ones. Also, the price of equipment designed for use with boilers with pressurized burners is much lower. Double-circuit gas floor boilers with pressurized burners are characterized by much higher power than similar boilers with atmospheric burners. This means that the area that boilers with inflatable burners are able to heat can simply not be mastered by their counterparts with atmospheric gas burners.

Double-circuit gas floor-standing boilers are also divided according to the following parameters: they distinguish between single-stage, two-stage and modulating gas heating boilers. Multistage or modulation gas heating boilers are used when there is no need for constant enhanced heating of the housing. That is, at full capacity it will be switched on only occasionally, taking periodic breaks. This is possible, for example, when heating a summer house or premises in regions with a warm climate.

Double-circuit floor gas boilers may have a different ignition system: piezo ignition or electric. Electric ignition is more economical, since piezo ignition is equipped with a continuously burning wick.

Installation of double-circuit gas boilers

Installation and installation of both wall-mounted and floor-mounted double-circuit gas boilers must be carried out by an organization licensed to carry out this type of work. There are certain requirements for the room in which the heating boiler is installed. It can be either an extension to the main building, or the basement. For safety reasons, the room in which the boiler is installed must be equipped with an exit to the outside. It is also necessary to ensure sufficient air circulation in the place where the gas boiler will be installed and the absence of any possible sources of ignition in the vicinity.
