An elevator in a country house is a sign of luxury or a necessity. Types of elevators in a modern country house
A modern elevator for a country house has long gone beyond the scope of a simple lifting device and has become a peculiar object of design art, serving not only as a means for lifting goods, but also becoming a decoration of the cottage. Two hundred years ago, as an attribute of the Russian nobility, the elevator was considered evidence of wealth and wealth, which radically changed in the era of innovative technologies.

Elevator in a private cottage. Luxury or necessity?
The extravagance of the idea of \u200b\u200binstalling an elevator in a private house is visible only at first glance, as if you think about it, you can come to the conclusion that moving in a two-, three-story country cottage can become a very time-consuming task. And this cannot be called the prerogative of people of only advanced age, which is explained by the small area allocated for the staircase structure, and, as a result, a rather steep flight of stairs, the climb on which is quite time-consuming even for young people.
When planning to install an elevator in a private house, the nuances of its arrangement should be foreseen at the cottage design stage, since the installation of elevator equipment requires careful consideration of the dimensions of the elevator shaft, its location, as well as physical parameters such as dynamic and static load and power consumption of the power structure. When assembling an elevator in a country house, the price of which will depend on its structural and design features, it is necessary to carefully analyze its price and operational characteristics, as well as features and options of the most suitable design.
Basic elevator options
Today, developers are offered several design options for arranging a homemade elevator in a private house:
1. The construction of the elevator shaft on the outside of the cottage, under which it is necessary to equip a solid foundation and prepare passages for doors at the level of each floor. But the price of an external installation significantly exceeds the price characteristics of an internal elevator installation, which is more popular among developers.
2. Installation of elevator equipment indoors also involves the installation of a shaft, which can be located both against the wall and in the central part of the room, for which it is necessary to install additional supports that serve to increase the strength characteristics of the structure.
Often in private cottages, the installation of metal-frame and deaf mines is practiced. The first design involves the initial equipment of a metal frame, followed by sheathing with building materials (glass or drywall), and the deaf are built of brick and concrete.
As for the elevator cabs, they can be panoramic or panoramic, depending on your preference. Cabs of the survey type are equipped with one or two glass walls, unlike panoramic ones, the design of which implies the presence of three semicircular glass walls.
Mechanical features of the drive. What to choose?
Next, we consider the classification of elevator equipment from the installation and technical point of view or, to be more precise, from the point of view of the mechanical features of the drive. There are two main types of elevator equipment: electric and hydraulic. But in fairness, it should be noted that passenger elevators are often equipped with an electric drive, which can not be said about freight elevators, characterized by a hydraulic drive. That is why, when installing a passenger elevator in your home, it is advisable to follow the advice of specialists who recommend giving preference to structures with electric drives.
The mechanism of operation of elevators with an electric drive is designed in such a way that they are driven by a winch, which is based on an electric motor. In most cases, the construction of conventional elevators implies the presence of an induction motor equipped with a gearbox, which is necessary to save engine power. But the main disadvantage of such designs, which consists in creating an increased noise level, led to a significant limitation of its use and gave way to gearless systems.
Such systems are much more expensive and require additional structural complexity, however, the result exceeds all expectations: gearless systems do not make noise, do not need additional arrangement of the engine room, since the winch can be placed directly in the mine, and are also characterized by smooth descent and braking of the elevator structure.
The functioning of the hydraulic drive is based on the pressure of the compressed fluid, namely the oil, which, dropping, causes the elevator to fall under the weight of its own weight. Despite the fact that electricity in this case is spent only on lifting the elevator, it will not work to save on electricity bills, since at the same time, due to the fact that a counterweight is not provided in such structures, a lot of weight is lifted. However, according to average estimates, the arrangement of such a design will cost less due to the ease of calculation and installation.
The use of such structures will be justified in the case of the arrangement of small cargo mechanisms, or the so-called elevator buffets, used to deliver wines or food from the basement to the kitchen, as well as products from the kitchen to the dining room. Such designs do not require large expenditures of electricity, and sometimes do not need to equip the mine, as they can be attached to floors or to the floor. At your request, such designs can be equipped with lighting and floor heating.
Basic elevator equipment
Before you buy an elevator in a private house, you need to familiarize yourself with the basic configuration of such equipment. Basically, the designs include the presence of a steel cabin, standard rails, shaft doors and cabs, as well as electric or hydraulic drive, electrical wiring and an electric motor. It is necessary to check the availability of the control unit, which is necessary to perform the simplest automated functions, such as calling the elevator, lifting and moving to the required level. At your request, additional options can be provided to you: a sound signal, cabin location indicators or a light curtain. The presence of a video and audio system is also an additional, but not mandatory, refinement. Very popular are the opening planes, the presence of which allows you to enter the cabin from one side, and exit from the opposite.
Decorative design. Relevance Above All
The manufacturer has the right to vary the basic design of the elevator depending on the preferences of the buyer. Often, the cabin provides for finishing with metal panels, the presence of halogen lamps, and linoleum on the floor in the cabin. The design of cabins and shafts is carried out in various styles, the most popular at the moment or conservative, depending on the preferences of the consumer. The main requirement for the decoration of elevator equipment is to maintain its relevance throughout the entire operational period, which can often exceed 50 years.
