Winches and jacks, as an assistant to the builder and the owner of the site
The owner of the site is constantly required to lift all kinds of cargoes: building materials, fertilizers, large seedlings, etc. To do all this manually and not to gain health problems, it is necessary to have construction and household lifts as assistants.

General information
Household lifts, in the modern world, are one of the necessary mechanisms.
Even the wheel of a car cannot be replaced without a jack.
And during construction in private households it is impossible to raise mortar, tile and other heavy building materials without a lift.
Before you get a reliable assistant, you need to determine the upcoming scope of work, consider what is best for you - to purchase a lifting gear or rent it.
You can advise you to purchase a universal mechanism, which can come in handy quite often, and rent a more complex lifting mechanism.
Manual mechanical winches
One of the ancient hoisting mechanisms is a winch.
Winches in their arsenal have three main parameters, namely: lifting capacity, traction and cable length.
According to the principle of operation, winches are divided into manual mechanical and electrical.
If you start construction from scratch and there is no electricity on the site, then a mechanical winch is your irreplaceable assistant.
Although, in fairness, it should be noted that to launch this mechanism it is necessary to make a certain effort.
Mechanical winches can lift a decent load of up to 4 tons.
Structurally, manual winches are divided into drum, worm, lever.
Manual mechanical winches can move the load in the vertical and horizontal directions.
Electric winches
If there is electricity on the site, and the amount of work is large, then the best option is to purchase an electric winch.
Electric winches provide high load capacity and decent traction.
Electric winches are a more advanced mechanism, such machines have additional options.
For example, when there is a power outage, the engine turns on the self-braking system, thereby not spontaneously lowering the load.
Electric winches are equipped with a stop sensor, have a remote control and other functions.
The size of electric hoists has a wide range.
Some construction winches can be installed on scaffolding, and this is a big help during construction.
Screw jacks
Jacks are a universal lifting means, with their help, loads are lifted without a cable and other auxiliary elements, since the lifting device is installed below the load.
Jacks are indispensable helpers and primarily for car repair.
Jacks are divided into screw, rack, hydraulic and pneumatic.
Screw jacks can lift loads up to 15 tons.
These are excellent helpers, very reliable, have a long service life.
The only drawback is their bulkiness.
But their brother - a lever-screw jack, has a compact shape and not very high cost.
But the disadvantage of such jacks is that you need to twist the drive handle with your own hands.
Rack jacks
Rack jacks can work both in vertical and horizontal positions.
Modern rack and pinion jacks are provided with a three-stage transmission and have the ability to retune to different timber, namely: up to 6 tons, from 6 to 15 tons, above 15 tons.
The main working element is the load-carrying rail, it moves with the help of a swinging drive lever - these are lever rack jacks.
If the movement is carried out by a gear with a handle, these are gear rack jacks.
Rack jacks, in their arsenal, have stoppers, which ensures safety and long-term operation.
Such mechanisms have gained great popularity, as they are very reliable, easy to use and affordable.
A positive aspect is their simple repair.
Hydraulic jacks
When operating the hydraulic jack, no effort is required.
The drive pump will do all the work for you, it will create pressure in the working chamber filled with oil.
Hydraulic jacks are small, but high load capacity (up to 200 tons).
These mechanisms have a smooth ride and convenient control.
Hydraulic jacks produce various types: rolling, diamond, hook, etc.
Depending on what load needs to be moved, the model of the lift is also selected.
But hydraulic jacks also have drawbacks: they break more often, they are difficult to adjust, and they have a pretty decent initial lift height.
Nevertheless, these are convenient and reliable helpers in the household.
Pneumatic jacks
Pneumatic jacks can be attributed to professional equipment.
These mechanisms are especially effective when working in cramped conditions - when connecting the pipeline, when working on marshy soils.
During the operation of the pneumatic jack, air is pumped into an elastic flat vessel made of rubber-cord fabric.
A trained person should work on such mechanisms, since this is a rather complicated device.
If it is needed on the farm, then it is better to rent it.
Difficult lifts
We examined the mechanisms that the owner may own - these are traditional lifts.
But the modern market for construction machinery offers lifting devices, the design of which is identical to real cranes.
Such mechanisms are prefabricated.
If necessary, such a gantry crane is removed from the storerooms and assembled on site, connected to the mains and you have a ready-made assistant.
Such a lifting mechanism can not only lift the load, but also move it.
The price of such a lift is not very high, the only question is whether there is a place for storage in disassembled form.
