The installation diagram and dimensions of the closer are selected relative to a specific location of the loopback part of the web block. The installation diagram of the device in the delivery set was made by the manufacturer in full size. For self-installation, this simplifies the layout. Simply lay the circuit on the door leaf and drill the mounting holes. To install the device, four mounting holes for the door closer and two for fastening the base of the lever are necessary.

Features of any door unit allow the installation of the device in the following ways:

• in a standard way, when the door closer is located directly on the door leaf

• in the upper way, in the case when the closer body is fixed on the door jamb

• in a parallel way, when the door closer is attached to the door leaf and the bar is fixed to the door frame.

Installation of door closers is possible outside or inside the door. Preference is given to indoor installation. Separate installation options for door closers for left and right doors. When installing, it is necessary to take into account the side of opening the door leaf: on yourself and from yourself. In the case when the front door opens onto itself, the closure fixture body must be mounted on the door leaf. In this case, the base of the lever is mounted on the door frame. If you are installing a fixture with a parallel type of lever, you must position the fixture on the principle of opening the door to yourself.

Correct door closer adjustment

The adjustment of the tool should ideally achieve the following functions:

  acceleration before closing and adjustable catch

  door delay in the open fixed position.

In this case, the adjustment of the open angle of the door can reach 180 degrees or be fixed at 90 degrees. In this case, the spring-loaded stopper and the locking lever are adjusted.

According to European standards EN1154, door closer forces are normalized, therefore, they depend on the width of the door leaf and the weight of the door itself. Rationing is carried out according to the principle: the greater the width and weight of the door itself, the more substantial and powerful the door closer should be. Distinguish, according to European regulation, 7 classes of closers. For light doors from EN1 with a force of 20 kg, and for powerful wide door leaves - EN7 with a force of 100 kg.

And finally, what is not recommended when using the device. To extend the life of the door closer, you do not need to help the device to carry out the automatic functions assigned to it. Therefore, there is no need to hold or pull the door, put heavy objects under the door with the purpose of a stop, to hang any interfering objects on the levers and rods.
