Wooden or stone
According to experts, regardless of whether the house is stone or wooden, both can be made beautiful and comfortable. Nevertheless, wooden houses are now gaining popularity again, the basis of which is log or block-walled walls.
You can build such a house both quickly and relatively cheaply. True, a lot here depends on personal preferences. For example, many do not recommend building a wooden house if it is being built within the city. It is more appropriate stone. If the house is built of cellular concrete blocks, then its external walls will hardly require maintenance, and if the drainage system is made as it should, then such a house will last for centuries. Ready-made frame houses, offered by many companies today, are cheap only at first glance. In order to reduce the cost of construction at any cost, poor quality materials are used in their construction, as a result, then the owner will have to spend much more on eliminating defects than he saved. For example, in pursuit of profit for the exterior decoration of the house can be used boards designed only for internal work. In addition, often in order to save money, they use not what is needed in existing materials. Here, too, there is an example where the logs for flooring were made of boards only two centimeters less than necessary. But this was enough to make the floor springy. A wooden house made of frame walls is undoubtedly cheaper than a stone one, but in this case it is more likely that the mistakes made by the builders will affect them in the future. The reason is, first of all, that during sedimentary deformation, the tree changes its initial size over time, which is especially evident in the supporting structures of such houses. Indeed, the builders have just reached the point of making the roof, and the walls of the house by this time are already settling a couple of centimeters. The upsetting of the walls of a wooden house makes its construction much more difficult, because because of this, nothing can be linked to beam structures: furnaces, partitions, etc. - everything has to be built separately. On the other hand, there is another point of view on wooden houses. Many experts do not agree that their century is short. The house can stand for a long time if the wooden structures of the house must be treated with protective agents every five years. It is also worth noting that the log house has poor thermal insulation. It’s finished, and it can be covered with thermal insulation, but then the whole originality of such a house will disappear. A significant problem of heat storage is not in the walls, but in windows and doors. They are what you simply can’t save on, because if they are of poor quality, very soon they will turn into channels through which heat will leave the house.
