Causes of weeds
It seems to many that if they carefully dug up the soil and shook out all the roots, then no weeds should grow in the future. However, weed grass grows all the same and this is not surprising, because:
- The weed seeds are carried by the wind, and they linger in the smallest crevices. The space between the tiles is an ideal place where disputes are where to linger.
- Birds that feed on berries, cereals and seeds carry spores in their litter.
- People often without knowing it carry seeds on the sole of their shoes.
Therefore, no matter how carefully the place for the garden path was prepared, the question still arises over time - how to remove grass.
How to remove grass from the track
In principle, with knowledge of some secrets, getting rid of weeds on garden paths is not so difficult. The main thing is to follow the sequence of actions.
When the sprouted weeds grow enough so that they can be pulled out together with the roots, you must carefully weed all the cracks between the tiles.
Then, to prevent the subsequent growth of seeds that got there, you need to mix the following composition:
- Water - 50l;
- Quicklime 4kg;
- Sulfuric acid 0.5l.
After which the mixture must be boiled, cooled and carefully shed all the garden paths. This method was also used by our grandmothers and it destroys the grass for a long time. The main thing is not to use this solution on the beds, as it is possible to destroy fruit bearing crops.
How to remove moss and mold on garden paths
Moss and mold between the components of the path appear as a result of improper drainage. This problem is especially relevant in those places where the path runs under the thick crowns of trees and the sun does not dry it properly.
You can remove the grown microorganisms from the track mechanically. To do this, you first need to remove the fallen leaves and debris, and a common sand is taken as a zest, densely poured on the path. Next, a soap solution is diluted. Someone prefers to simply mix the washing powder with water, but this is ineffective. It is much better to dissolve a piece of laundry soap in a bucket of water, heating it.
Then, using a soap solution and a broom, you need to clean the tracks. The broom is dipped in a soapy solution, does not shake off (it is necessary that the moisture is plentiful when sweeping) and all the growths of moss and mold are thoroughly swept away. Sand in this case acts as an abrasive, and a soap solution kills spores.
To consolidate the result, you need to dilute vinegar in water and shed the entire path. The proportion of the mixture is 1/1. That is, for 1 liter of water it is necessary to take 1 liter of vinegar and, when mixed, pour vinegar into the water, and in no case vice versa.
How to remove grass in the area
If garden paths occupy a relatively small area and can be processed quite quickly, then the rest of the site, which occupies several hectares, may require a lot of time and effort. However, nothing is impossible and weeds can be dealt with over a considerable area.
The mechanical way.If you dig in the spring and autumn the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe site, then you can remove all the roots of weed grass. It is necessary to use a pitchfork, since the shovel cuts the roots, and they are not completely removed from the soil. Then, throughout the warm season, you need to remove the weed grass by hand, weeding it. The main thing is to do this before the seeds ripen, which can again sow the entire plot.
Biological method. If you close the entire free area between the planted plants with a black film or a layer of mulch, then the weeds will die. They simply will not have enough oxygen in the soil.
Chemical method. It consists in the fact that herbicides that destroy weeds are sprayed onto the soil. However, one should use this method with caution, as chemistry is also poisonous. This is one of the few methods that answer the question of how to get rid of grass forever, because with regular use, weeds will simply stop growing in your garden.

Herbicide Application Guide
Before you happily run to the site in order to immediately destroy the annoying weeds, you should remember when the last time any means of weed were introduced into the soil. If such work has already been done, then you must wait at least three weeks and only after that proceed with processing.
Ideally, the most suitable day for processing is a sunny, calm day, before which it rained and all the leaves of the plants are still slightly moist. In this case, spraying will give the most effective results and the question of how to get rid of the grass for a long time will not bother you.
