Preparation for installation

Actually, preparation begins with a trip to the store for a new plumbing fixture. It is also necessary to purchase an adapter (corrugation), such as in the picture. We also need a new flexible hose to connect the tank to the pipeline. The length of the hose is selected individually, they are produced in different sizes. Get silicone and plumbing sealant.

From the tool we need a hammer drill with a drill for concrete, the diameter should correspond to the diameter of the screws that secure the toilet. If we have tiles in the toilet, you will need a special drill for tiles. We also need an adjustable wrench, below in the photo. Actually they all assembled, we begin the installation.

Install the toilet compact

The installation procedure is as follows:

We take a toilet bowl compact direct release, put on the installation site.

Depending on the distance between the outlet of the bowl and the inlet of the sewer pipe, we choose the installation method. It can be an option with a corrugation, with a plastic branch or a cuff. We leave the bowl and drill holes, insert the dowels.
We put the bowl at the installation site, connect it to the sewer pipe and carefully begin to tighten the screws to the floor. Be sure to put a plastic washer on the screw, it will prevent the ceramics from scratches and cracks. Tighten the screws without zeal, alternating them alternately. Those. one twisted a couple of turns, twist the second and so on. To squeeze without zeal, it is enough that the bowl does not stagger. If you overdo it, ceramics may burst and then you have to go for a new toilet.

After securing the bowl, proceed to the installation of the drain tank. Everything is strictly according to the instructions. The drain devices are different for everyone, so it’s not advisable to paint one of the options. The main thing is not to rush, there is nothing archaic. The main thing is not to forget to put the rubber sealing washers before attaching the tank to the bowl, otherwise there will be a flood. - After collecting the tank and fittings, we connect water through a flexible hose. Typically, in these hoses, the tightness is achieved by two sealing gum, so you do not need tow.

All gathered, made sure that there were no extra parts of the toilet. Now you can start the launch.

Quality control of the work done

Open the tap of cold water and carefully look for a leak. If nowhere flows, you can congratulate you on successfully completed work. If there is, there is no reason to panic. Leaks can occur in the following places:

Between the tank and the bowl, tighten the tank mounting bolts a little harder; if that doesn’t help, see if the sealing rubber is damaged. Silicone can be used to seal this joint.
Leak at the entrance to the tank or at the tap itself, squeeze the hose nuts slightly.
Constantly flowing from the tank to the toilet bowl or the locking ring is leaking, or the drain system needs more precise adjustment.

When installing the toilet, the main thing is not to rush and do not adjust excessive efforts, it is still fragile ceramics. And the rest is an hour and a half.
